Rules and Guidelines

Please go to the Rules Wizard before starting your research, to see which forms and approvals will be required. The forms are for ISEF Finalists, but we also use them for registering at ScienceMONTGOMERY.

ScienceMONTGOMERY has four special rules:
1. A signed Informed Parental Consent form is required for every Human Subject under 18 years of age
2. ScienceMONTGOMERY uses categories that are different than ISEF and our Team Projects are judged in the same categories as our Individual projects.
3. Your one-page Abstract may be submitted in your own format; the Abstract Form in the Rules Wizard is a guide, not a requirement for ScienceMONTGOMERY. (The ISEF signature page is not required and your Abstract will not be “Embossed” as “Official” by ScienceMONTGOMERY) Post your Abstract on your display board. We suggest you also leave ten copies on the table in front of your display for Judges’ use.

4. Form 1C Regulated Research Institutional/Industrial Setting must be submitted if appropriate, but must NOT be displayed with your Project
INTEL ISEF Rules - As an affiliated fair, ScienceMONTGOMERY adheres to International Science and Engineering Fair Rules. Students, teachers, sponsors, and judges should be familiar with the rules as they apply to specific types of projects.

INTEL ISEF Student Handbook - This handbook is designed to assist students in preparing for and completing a successful investigative research project for ScienceMONTGOMERY.  For additional information please see the ISEF Handbook

Once you've read all the rules, you are ready to register for our fair.  If you have any questions you can contact us.
