Fair Schedule

Paperwork and Deadlines:

November 1, 2019

Online registration begins. Each project (individual or team) must be registered online at www.ScienceMONTGOMERY.org.  Click “Student” then “Register”. 

 

November, 2019-March, 2020

ScienceMONTGOMERY 2020 information is available at www.ScienceMONTGOMERY.org. Questions should be emailed to according to the "Contact Us" page information.

 

December 1, 2019

Deadline to submit research plan if your project requires ScienceMONTGOMERY SRC or IRB approval prior to experimentation

 

January 28, 2020

ALL required documentation must be submitted by this deadline. This includes all of the following: 

1) Registration Form with Parent/Student signatures

2) Abstract, Research Plan

3) Form 1 Adult Checklist

4) Form 1A Student Checklist

5) Form 1B Approval Form)

Additional documentation for some projects may be required; check ISEF rules for further information. 

No projects will be accepted after this date. 

ALL documents must be RECEIVED by 8 PM

February 3, 2020

The Scientific Review Committee (SRC) will review your paperwork and results will be sent to your email address and posted online by this date.  If you don’t receive an email, you are responsible for checking your account of the website for the results.  Results are accessible with the student passwords obtained when registering online.  The email and online comments will describe any problems with your paperwork and provide the date by which corrections are due.  We regret that projects missing corrected documents by the date will not be permitted to participate at ScienceMONTGOMERY 2020.

 

Schools also may apply for a password so a teacher can see all projects entered from their school.


Fair Weekend

Friday, March 20, 2020

4 PM - 8 PM

Student Project Set Up and Safety Check: Set-up display boards and go through Safety Inspection at the FDA 

Mentors, teachers, family members and friends of Fair Participants are invited to view the projects any time Friday evening until 9 PM.  Please note: ScienceMONTGOMERY does not hold an Open House for general members of the public.

 

Saturday, March 21, 2020

 

Only Fair Participants, Judges and Official Fair Volunteers may enter the Fair Venue until 4 PM (or whenever judging is completed).

 8:45-9:45 AM  Registration of Judges

 9:45-11:45 AM       Judging Preview Period (no students present)          

 

11:45 AM-12:45 PM Students admitted 

(NOTE:  PLEASE ARRIVE EARLY TO AVOID LONG SECURITY LINES)         

 

1 PM – 5 PM           Student Interviews with Judges (all grades together)

Until 4 PM for middle school; until 5 p.m. for high school (or whenever judging is completed)4 PM – 5:30 PM      Project take down. All projects must be dismantled and removed by 5 PM; Projects not removed by 5:00 PM will be discarded.

2 PM - 4 PM       Awards Ceremony

4 PM - 5 PM    

Meeting with ScienceMONTGOMERY High School International Science and Engineering Fair Award Winners and 1st Runner UP plus
families to discuss trip to Intel ISEF.

This is the only time we will be distributing awards. Teachers present at the Awards Program will be allowed to collect awards for students at their schools.Parents will need to pick up their students’ awards from the Fair Director at a prearranged time. All team members must be present to accept their own awards; you may not accept an award for your teammate.
